Based on My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies by Resmaa Menakem. Training opportunities include a free 5-session Racialized Trauma Course (10 sessions total). The first video defines racialized trauma and how it impacts the body. The remaining four videos focus on the impact of trauma on black bodies and their history, as well as how the stress affects police and community relations. A 101 Racialized Trauma Course is also available.
