Improv(e) Your Writing: A Webinar for Mental Health Professionals (Webinar)
October 14, 2022
Friday, October 14, 2022, 11:00am-1:00pm (PT)
Hosted by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) New York City Chapter. Whether you are writing a grant proposal, journaling, crafting messaging for social media, or writing up client notes, that empty page can be intimidating.
This webinar will help you say “Yes, And” to yourself and your ideas in a whole new way. Learning about and playing with the rules of applied improvisation (“Yes, And”), author and improvisation workshop facilitator Sloane Miller, LMSW, will help you address the fear of the empty page through applied improvisation exercises that will uncover your latent creativity with ease and laughter. This workshop is experiential – we will do applied improvisation exercises that lead to in-class writing prompts. 2 CEUs are available.
With this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the core concept of improvisation.
- Identify three (3) current improvisation and mental health research studies.
- Identify three (3) improvisation exercises/interventions.
Cost: $38-$57. Registration and more information here.
