Intraconnected: Embracing Oneness and Human Differences (Virtual)

March 23, 2023

Thursday, March 23, 2023, 3:00pm-4:30pm (PT)

Hosted by the Garrison Institute. As cultural and political polarization intensifies, how can we honor our unique identities and communities, while also affirming that everyone belongs in this deeply interconnected universe?

Drawing on spiritual, scientific, and sociological expertise, this forum will explore insights from Dr. Dan Siegel’s new book, Intraconnected. Along with Dr. Siegel, Mirabai Bush, Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, and Dr. Angel Acosta, we will explore how to overcome the limiting belief of an isolated and disconnected self, in favor of a self that is “a part of a synergy of systems much bigger than the individual.”

This donation-based event is for anyone seeking to live a healthier, fuller, freer life with enhanced personal flourishing. This forum will address questions including:

  • How do we build a culture of compassion and connection that bridges our cultural and political divides?
  • How do we talk about the many identities that make us different from one another, yet cultivate a consciousness of interconnection?
  • In the context of race, how do bias and trauma shape how we view the world and our separateness from others, outside of our cultural contexts?

The Garrison Institute Fellowship Forum is a series of conversations with extraordinary leaders with expertise and experience in awareness-based contemplative wisdom, the science of interconnection, generative action, and collective healing. Each conversation is co-facilitated by the Garrison Institute’s Fellows and by Fellowship Director Dr. Angel Acosta.

Cost: $0-$25. Registration and more information here
